Lubomir Kriz

Ľubomír Kríž is an experienced IT professional with more than 30 years of expertise in systems administration, database management, and, most notably, cybersecurity. He began his career as a Lead Programmer, where he spent six years managing development teams and contributing to the design and implementation of software solutions. He then worked for the next six years as a Senior Systems and Database Specialist, focusing on IT architecture design, performance optimization, and ensuring the reliability of IT infrastructure.

A significant part of his career—17 years—was dedicated to information security in the role of Head of IT Security Department. In this position, he was responsible for designing and implementing security architectures, developing security policies, and ensuring the protection of critical infrastructure.

He managed the organization’s preparation for ISO/IEC 27001 certification as well as audits required under the Cybersecurity Act. For the past four years, he has served as Head of IT Security Division and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), combining technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure the highest possible level of cyber protection within the organization. He also serves as the Cybersecurity Manager.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that he has accomplished—and continues to accomplish—all of this during more than 30 years with a single employer: Slovak Post.
