Why I collaborate with Qubit

As the chairman of the Auditclub, I enjoy connecting highquality expert content with a community of auditors from all over Slovakia, where we avoid salespitch presentations and instead focus on open, factual discussions about realworld problems. I also appreciate that the Qubit team creates an environment where managers, architects, analysts, consultants, engineers, administrators, pentesters, and auditors naturally come together. The main mission and added value is therefore to deliver the best events where participants always learn about the latest trends and practical experience from the world of information and cyber security.

About the speaker

Michal specializes in audit activities in accordance with ISA 315 (Revised), cybersecurity audits under Section 29 of the Cybersecurity Act, certification audits against technical standards, and compliance assessments related to GDPR, local NIS2 transpositions, DORA, PSD2, and the SWIFT framework. In his work, he applies the principles of integrity, independence, and objectivity. He presents findings and conclusions truthfully and without bias, helping organizations achieve effective governance and decision-making based on current information and facts.

He graduated in Applied Informatics with a specialization in Information Systems Security from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology (FEI STU). For seven years, he conducted IT audits, National Bank of Slovakia (NBS) assessments, and other audits and evaluations within international audit firms including KPMG, PwC, and Deloitte. In 2020, he became one of the first certified cybersecurity auditors in Slovakia and has since continued to develop his auditing practice both independently and as part of audit teams. His professional portfolio includes more than 400 IT and information security audits across the financial sector, energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, public administration, and healthcare industries.

He is an active member of the international professional organizations ISACA and (ISC)² and holds certifications including CISA, CISSP, CDPSE, and TOGAF, as well as qualifications as an internal auditor for various technical standards. He contributes to the IT audit community by promoting audit methodologies and standards and leads AuditClub Slovakia. He is also actively involved in reviewing and commenting on legislation in the fields of IT and cybersecurity. As an external lecturer at FEI STU in Bratislava, he teaches the course IT and Security Audit.
